Steve Toburen joined the Frontier program in 2007 after a 7-year stint at MidTenMedia.com, where he served as web/database developer, programmer working on multiple internet advertising related websites, and Technical Director of the IT department.

As the web developer for the Frontier and Food Safety and Security websites, Mr. Toburen helps foster an electronic, multimedia environment in which Frontier's scholars interact.  As the K-State-based coordinator of the Frontier Interdisciplinary eXperience (FIX) program, he assists Drs. Kastner, Ackleson, and Nutsch in the mentoring of Frontier's undergraduate, graduate, and distance students.   Mr. Toburen also assists the National Agricultural Biosecurity Center (NABC) in maintaining its website, including the NABC Lessons Learned Database.
